DELUGE
David LaChapelle's "Deluge" series was shot in Hollywood in 2009. Based on Michelangelo's paintings done for the Sistine Chapel, David reinterpretted the biblical flood narrative making a statement on society's tendency 'toward decadence and decay.' Deluge depicts men, women and children refugees in the midst of the apocalyptic storm and depicts them in the midst of a materialistic wasteland.
I acted as Assistant and Set Decorator to the Director and Art Director and participated in the construction and decoration of the various scenes.
